Saudi Real Estate Company has appointed Abdullah bin Sulaiman Abu Dawood as its chief executive officer, signalling a strategic move as the kingdom’s property and development sector expands.
The appointment is effective April 5, 2026, Saudi Real Estate said in a statement. Abu Dawood previously held leadership roles at Channels Communications Company, a subsidiary of the STC Group, as well as at Jazan Economic City and the Industrial Valley at King Abdullah Economic City.
The move comes days after Saudi Arabia’s new law regulating foreign ownership of real estate took effect on January 22, a landmark step to attract investment into the property sector. The reform is part of broader efforts to diversify the economy, enhance investment opportunities, and reduce the kingdom’s reliance on oil.
