Apple is reportedly fast-tracking development of three new wearable products as it pivots more aggressively toward artificial intelligence-driven devices.
The technology giant has intensified work on a pair of smart glasses, a clip-on pendant designed to attach to clothing or be worn around the neck, and a next-generation version of its AirPods featuring enhanced AI functions, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The devices are expected to centre on Apple’s Siri assistant.
The new hardware will reportedly be designed to operate alongside the iPhone ecosystem. Each product is expected to incorporate a camera system tailored to its specific use case, enabling contextual awareness and more advanced AI features, Bloomberg reported.
