The New York Stock Exchange is gearing up to offer round-the-clock trading of tokenized stocks and ETFs through a new blockchain-powered platform, Bloomberg reported.
The initiative, led by NYSE — part of Intercontinental Exchange Inc. — will combine the exchange’s current trade-matching system with private blockchain networks, enabling real-time transactions of digital securities, according to the report. The platform is targeted for launch later this year, pending approval from US regulators.
